One for the books!

Where did the time fly off to? As the labor day weekend has come to a close it is amazing that we have already put another summer in the books. Whenever I meet up and speak with people at the park, I always hear how this place is unlike anything else. A place where we meet summer after summer and become family and make memories that keep us warm through the cold winter months. Thanks need to go out to all the people who have given so much of their time to make this the special place that it is. I would go into names but we all know who they are and I don’t want to offend anyone by missing a name. Thank you! I know we have Octoberfest still to go, but I for one am already looking forward to 2014 our 30th anniversary! We will have some great surprises for you come the spring and lots of good times ahead. Until then we’ll keep everyone updated as the off season moves along.

Goodbye Summer 2013

End of the Summer extravaganza! A big weekend coming up. Friday night at 8:30 Texas Holdem’ in the Activity room. Novice poker players welcomed…even encouraged. Saturday is Fun Day. Plenty of great things for the kids to do, Moon Bouncers and Caricatures. You will even have the opportunity to dunk me in the dunk tag…if your wussy little arm can throw that far. Then relax poolside as DJ Gary spins your favorite tunes. Later that evening at 8:00 PM come and dance at the pole barn as we raise a toast and say farewell to Summer 2013. Sunday is the annual horse shoe tournament. If you aren’t competing stop by the pits and watch as the battle wages. See you all there!

Silent Auction in Jeopardy

We are on the verge of having to cancel this upcoming weekend’s silent auction due to lack of donations.  By donations we need things to put in the baskets that are auctioned.  Basically how it works is this.  People make up baskets, we place them out for bids (people place tickets into a cup in front of the basket and the winning ticket wins the

Hopefully we get enough donations by the weekend and the show can go on.  I’m sure we’ll also need people to help make the baskets all pretty like in the activity center on Friday/Saturday.

I apologize but this week’s owner’s meeting has to be postponed until June 30th at 10:00am.  A couple of the board members will be unable to attend.  In order to ensure we are able to meet the owners as a full board this decision had to be made. I am sorry for the short notice but this has come up in the last 24 hours.
